The American Toad has dry, warty skin. The differences between toads and frogs are more of there apperance then scientific.

The chuckwalla is a lizard native to the southwestern United States. Chuckwallas like most reptiles adapted to there habitats. The chuckwalla digs in the ground to get away from the heat( in the summer it can get up to 104 degree Fahrenheit). In the winter chukwallas hibernate in the winter.

Great plain toad in this picture the toad is contucting a mating call. This call sounds like a deep ribit or crock.
