Andrew Lloyd Webber was born on March 22, 1948 in England.  His parents were Bill Southcombe Lloyd Webber and Jean Hermione Webber.  His father was plumber and so was his father before him. There was a lot of musical talent in his family.  Hid grandfather played violin and his father sang.  On his third birthday he got a violin and after he got a horn.  He was very encouraged to play music.

At an early age his parents knew he had talent.  He played many instruments and played his own music.  Every one thought that Andrew would grow up to be a historian, but he still had his love for music.  His aunt introduced him to the world of theater.  He found something that combined just about everything he loved.  He was in many school plays and musicals.

Andrew started writing music for plays.  He was looking for a top writer for lyrics when he got a letter from Tim Rice saying that he would be delighted to write for him. From there it was history and now everyone knows their musicals.
