Book Vs. Movie

Caution!!! This page contains movie spoilers, if you  haven't seen the movie, don't read this page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the first book, McGonangall never changes into a cat (She only does that in the third book), but in the movie she does it when Harry and Ron are late for here class.
There are a lot of mistakes involving the Sorting Ceremony. First, in the movie, the names are read "first name, last name" while in the book they are read "last name, first name". In the movie the names are read in any order (Sorting the main characters first), while in the book they are read in alphabetical order. And, did anyone notice that the Sorting Hat didn't have a song?
During the first flying lesson there are many things that are different. Ron's broom doesn't hit him in the head in the book. When Neville's broom goes out of control in the movie it takes him threw a series of obstacles before he falls, but in the book, he just gets really high up, and then falls.
In the book Harry asks Professor Dumbledore what he would see in the mirror of Erised, and he answered, "I see myself holding a pair of wool socks". In the movie, this doesn't happen.
During the giant chess board challenge in the book, Harry check-mates the king and the crown falls to the ground. In the movie, it's his sword.
In the movie when Voldemort tells Quirrell to catch Harry he snaps his fingers, and flames surround them. In the book he is tied down with ropes. When Harry touches Quirrell in the movie, they make it seem like it doesn't hurt him, but in the book it says, "Harry felt Quirrell's had close on his wrist. At once, a needle-sharp pain seared across Harry's scar.
The trophy next to James Potter's says "M.G. McGonangall" as part of an early Quiditch team. If it is Minerva McGonangall, it means she played Quiditch when she was twenty years old, which is impossible.
In the movie when McGonangall calls Wood he is in D.A.D.A. In the book he is called out of Charms.
When Oliver Wood is training Harry for Quiditch in the movie, he lets out the Snitch and Harry watches it (it's daytime). In the book, Harry gets his broom and flies around, and Oliver throws golf balls for him to catch, saying that it is too dark to let out the snitch.
In the book, Hermione tries  to stop "Snape" from jinxing the broom, and when she tires to light his cape on fire she knocks Quirrell, and makes him lose eye contact, but in the movie he is distracted by the fire.
In the movie Harry meets Malfoy at the Sorting Ceremony, but in the book they meet when they are getting measured for their robes.
The movie never mentions that first years aren't allowed to have broomsticks.
In the movie it says Harry's dad was a Chaser for his Quiditch team, but in the book, and according to J.K. Rowling, he was a seeker, just like Harry.
