The the English National Ballet performed this ballet which is the Nutcracker. This ballet company has survived through four and a half decades. Great emphasis is placed on Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, and (of course) Ballet. All student dancers must dance for a minimum of four and a half hours each day. The company has 64 dancers who come from 17 different countries around the world. The Company presents 150 shows annually, considerably larger than any other large company around the world. |

The Pittsburgh Youth Ballet School was founded in 1983 by Jean Gedeon, former Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre soloist. Pittsburgh Youth Ballet dancers have been awarded over $250,000 in scholarships and acceptances to the best schools all over the world. The Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company's performances are among the "Ten Best Dance Performances" as complied by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. This is the Stars and Stripes performance choreographed by George Balanchine. |

This is a work by the New York Ballet Company. It is called the West Side Story. The New York Ballet Company was officially founded in 1948. The founder is Licoln Kirsten an American writer. In the 19700's, the company became the largest dance organization in the United States of America. It currently has an active repetoire of more than 100 works. This company is dedicated to music, drama, and dance. |
