Goo Goo Dolls are one of the only bands that are still popular that had burned out and made a tremendous comeback.  There next CD is coming out in January 2002.  That will be their 8th Cd.  The others had very high ratings and at least two hits per CD.  There last CD Dizzy up the Girl Had six hits including Iris, Black Balloon, Slide, Bullet proof, Extra Pale, and Acoustic #3.

    The style of the band has changed many times since the time the band had started.  It had started out as a very heavy rock band.  That was in 1978.  They went for their first two CDs with that style in mind.  But for their third CD, Jed, they were actually drunk for half of the songs when they sang them.

     In the time that John had started to put the band together Robby was the only person who had tried out that was with their style and goal.  They had one guitar player and one bass player, but still had no drummer.  The band had to barrow drummers from many different bands for three years until they came across mike who was looking for a band.  So he got one.  He had picked up many techniques over the long period of going to tryouts and watching other drummers perform.  John call Mike a miracle worker.  The band was on its way, and has had never changed members since.
