Disturbed.... you are most likely thinking of one of those bands that jumps around on stage screaming. To tell you the truth they are.  The whole thing started in Chicago when Dan Donegan, Mike Wegren, and FUZZ wanted to put together the band.  They eventually got sick of all the auditions and no one having there same vision and style.  In 1998 they had found "Their savior" , David Draiman, the vocalist.   He even brought the new name " DISTURBED" .  

 

 

      Ever since Dave had joined the band they had prospered tremendously.  "He was the only singer that on his 1st day working had just said lets improvise."  Said Fuzz in an MTV interview.  But Dave had some problems With working with the band.  He had come from a very conservative and religious family who had other plans for his work... a salesman at Sears, a minister, or maybe even a teacher or a doctor.  Anything but a hard rock or metal star.  But he left his family and their plans and changed his name to follow his dream.
    At first the band had to just play for all the night clubs and bars in Chicago.  But the word had gotten out and the wher talked about all over Chicago.  It took a good year for them to get a record deal but that is very fast.  Most of the bands in the world aren't ever discovered but Disturbed got very luck with their skills.

 

 

     Their debute album The Sickness has been a smash album and continues to have new hit songs on it after being out for almost a year now.  The song "Stupefied" is what started it all.  Dave has amazing control over his voice as you know if you've ever head the bands music.  In every song he does some kind of new, amazing voice stunt that most people will never be able to do.  He proves this in his 4th hit off of the CD "Down With the Sickness".  Dave said "I am not a rapper by any means, but there is a very distinctive rhythm to that I use to compliment my music"
