Westies can do many tricks. One of them is sit. For a dog to sit, you should hold a treat right above his/her nose and pull it back towards his/her neck. Once they do sit, give them the treat and lots of praise.

 

To make a dog lie down, make the Wesite sit. Then hold the treat in front of them, pulling it forward in a backwards L shape. Once they lie down, give them their treat.

 

 

Westies love to play with any kind of ball. A tennis ball can give them entertainment inside or outside. A big rubber ball is always fun if it is played with in a fenced in area or yard.

 

Playing frisbee is also fun to play with your Westie.  Just make sure you don't pull the Frisbee while the dog's mouth is still on it so the dog's teeth aren't pulled out.
