 In the 1996-97 season Mario became just the 7th player in NHL history to score 600 goals.   

In 1991-92, Lemieux won his third scoring title recording 131 points. He was ranked second in the league with 87 assists and tied for seventh in goals with 44, depite only playing 64 games.

Lemieux missed the first 50 games of the 1990-91 season recovering from back surgery.  He returned to the lineup on January 26 at Quebec, recording three assists.
