Parts of a Dirt Bike
These are some of the parts of a dirt bike. There are many more parts but these are just the main ones.
| Engine | |
| This is the inside of a Yamaha YZ 250 engine. The engine is the main part of a dirt bike. Without it, you couldn't move. Engines run in different sizes. A 250 cc engine is an engine that is 250 cubic centimeters. Larger size engines are more powerful than smaller engines. Dirt bike engines can range from 50 cc to 650 cc. |

| Fenders | |
|
|
These fenders are from a Suzuki RM 250. Travis Pastrana has these fenders on hid dirt bike. Fenders are on a dirt bike so mud, dirt, and rocks don't fly up from the wheels and hit your back, chest, and head. |
| Wheels | |
| The wheels on the dirt bike are like the wheels on a regular bike. The wheels on a dirt bike are much stronger. The spokes and the tires are also much stronger and thicker than a regular bike, also. This is because a dirt bike weighs much more. Is also because dirt bikers jump higher, ride faster, and land harder. |

| Muffler | |
|
|
A muffler is the exhaust system on a dirt bike. Every dirt bike has a muffler. Some mufflers are straight and some are curvy like this one. From the exhaust of the dirt bike, the muffler gets very hot and it can burn your leg. That is why you have to wear special riding pants. |
