West Highland White Terrier

	In brief the West Highland White Terrier originated in Scotland. Their AKC group is is terrier. Their life span run at the most up to fourteen years of age.
Their color is white And they have a hard outer coat, about two inches long, and they have a soft under coat. They need a weekly brushing. If you want your westie to be a show dog they would need shaping every three months. The male westies height is about eleven inches. Females height is about ten inches. The westies weight ranges fifteen to twenty-two pounds. Their activity level is high. And their intelligence is also high. They are excellent watchdogs because of their bark.
They are intelligent, independent, alert, and friendly. These dogs can be difficult to raise because of their intelligence. So reward good behavior. They can live in rural or suburban homes, urban if the owner is active. Westies are only good with children if they are taught to be. They can be aggressive to other to other animals, but very friendly towards strangers.
