The officers in the British Army were all rich they bought there rank in the army. The officers in the French and Indian War slept in tents ,but in the rev. war they slept in homes, if they were available the army would sleep in homes too and take things from farms. The officers always ate better than the enlisted men. The musicians would hang out with the officers and eat with them. Officers uniforms had lace on them so that the men could tell them a part very fast which is a good thing in battle. There Red was scarlet red and it didn't fade as fast as the other red that the enlisted men wore. The officers were trained in the manual of arms for various years. This is what they would teach the men during there daily training.
