Jessica grew up in Dallas, Texas.
When Jessica was auditioned for the Mickey Mouse club, and made it to the finals. In the last audition, she freaked out. Freezing in the audition may have cost her the part, but it made her stronger and more convinced that that was the right path for her.
She began to tour the country with a religious group. It wasn't long before major record companies showed interest in her ability. Singing pop music lets her reach out to more people.
Jessica's has a mixture of pop, R&B and gospel- influenced music. Starting her singing career in gospel music has helped her to find her true voice. Most of her fans know her as a good girl. Lately her music has been a little more on the edge.
Recently she toured with 98°. Jessica was dating the 98° hottie Nick Lachey, and worked with him on a song. Unfortunately, they broke up.
Jessica has not only been noticed for her voice, but also for her looks. Jessica has modeled for Revlon and such make-up suppliers.
