Bulky "top stacks" are a familiar feature of German convertibles, and Porsche's 356 cabriolet is no exception.

September 1959 was when another updated 356 T-5 B-Series model was born.  Most readily recognized by higher front bumpers and headlamps.

In July 1963 Go-power was better then ever, but the real news was standard four-wheel disc brakes- a production-Porsche first -to provide equally strong stopping power.

The Abarth- Carrera GTL was named for its 356B Carrera chassis and bodywork by Italy's Carlo Abarth.

356Bs built after September 1961 like this Cabriolet, sported new T-6 body styling, identified by a squared-off lower edge on the front trunklid.

Twin engine-lid grilles were a feature of B- and C-models, as were standard door ventwings on coupes.
