This is my super cool web page on the Backstreet Boys. If you are one of the "lucky" people and get to meet them, don't be dumb and ask them how they got together (especially since I'm about to tell you now). It's not that they don't like to be asked, they are just asked way, way too much and get annoyed. So basically the Backstreet Boys are five guys with a common dream who were destined to come together. And for you weirdoes who need more info, here’s the bigger story.

Go way back in time. No back farther.  Back in the day, the early 90's, when AJ, Nick, and Howie were all striving to get a comfy ride in the entertainment industry. Even though they were very young (in high school) each of them had a fair chance to become a singer or an actor or both.

AJ and Howie met in Orlando through talent competitions. They both had had the same vocal coach. To pass the time during auditions, Howie and AJ would start singing a cool capella. Nick had heard them singing and decided to join in.

The three of them sounded really good so, they came up with this crazy idea to form a group and seek out help. They met up with this really great guy named Louis Pealman who suggested they added two other people to the group.

Meanwhile, Kevin had just moved to Orlando. He had heard about the auditions and went to go check it out. And what do ya know, he got in (duh, he is a part of the group today). Now the group only needed one more member. So Kevin suggested his cousin Brian (who had a very nice voice).

After the five got together, they realized that they needed a name. So they named themselves after this super cool market in Orlando called the Backstreet Market (get it, Backstreet Boys, Backstreet Market, haha not). Then, the new group got some management, which got them into shows, the shows got them some recognition and they started to see some record labels. These record labels caused the Backstreet Boys to catch the ears of the very nice people down at cool Jive.
