*Nsync's History
*Nsync came together on their own. Chris Kirkpatrick was the starter of the group. He had previously worked at Universal Studios and had tried out for many auditions. In 1995, he came up with the idea of a band. He called Justin Timberlake, who he had known from many auditions. Justin was about 14 at the time and had sung in the chorus at school and church. He also had private singing lessons with a teacher and had been in the Mickey Mouse Club for 2 years. Also, in the Mickey Mouse Club was J.C. Chasez. Justin and J.C. had became very good friends, so Justin and Chris called him and asked him if he wanted to be in a singing group. He also joined the band. Then Chris thought of people he knew and remembered Joey Fatone. Chris and Joey had worked together at Universal Studios, so Chris called him up. Joey also joined in the band. There was four of them now. They thought they sounded good together, but there was something missing. They needed a bass voice. Justin got in touch with his old vocal coach and he gave him a name of a guy with a bass voice. The name was Lance Bass. Lance was the last member to join the band. Now, there were 5 of them. Justin's mom thought of the name *Nsync. She took the last letter of their first name and scrambled them around and they soon became *Nsync. Their No Strings Attached sold about 2.4 million copies in the first week of selling. They broke the record and took the number one place. "Celebrity", their latest CD sold 2.1 in one week and took Eminem's place at number two.*Nsync has been having huge success for the past 3 years and still have a lot more to come.
