Quicksilver Golf Course, located just minutes from the Pittsburgh Airport, is one of the toughest none country clubs in the area. The course is relatively long (7,083 from the tips), with quite a few bunkers. The greens are very fast and sloppy, with the pin placements being changed every day of the week. The course hosted the Pro-Am qualifier this year. The course has a very nice range, practice green, and clubhouse. If you want to go to a course nearby, I would persuade you to go here.

Shannopin Country Club, open in 1920, is one of the hardest country clubs in the Pittsburgh area. The course is a total of 6,362 yards from the back tees. The thing that makes this course hard is the many sand traps, the fast greens, and the very narrow fairways. All of this, though, is typical of a country club. The course has a very nice clubhouse and pro shop. There is no water on the whole course, which is a very big advantage. Overall this is a very nice course.

Frosty Valley Golf Course, located in the heart Upper St. Clair, is a fairly easy 9 hole course. The course on plays a measly 3,121 yards from the back tees. The only tricky hole is the 2nd, a short par 5, in which your second or third shot to the green has to be over a tree. If you need a course where you can play fast, this is the one for you.

(Shown on the left is the Par 4 6th hole.)
