If you ask someone what you need to score well in golf, they will probably tell you that you need to have good clubs or balls, and you need to practice a lot.  The one thing most people leave out is the importance of a good golf course.  This web site will show you some of the best local, world, and PGA courses.  It will help you to realize the role a good golf course plays in a round.

Augusta National Golf Course in Atlanta, Georgia is one of the most distinguished and greatest courses in the U.S.A. and maybe even in the world. The founder of the course is Bobby Jones who had the help of architect Alister Mackenzie. The course is strong enough to test the best PGA Tour players yet is subtle enough for the members. The course was developed in the early 1900s and has not had any alterations until now, with the redesigning of 8 holes. The holes were lengthened to add to the difficulty of the course. The fairways roll gently and the greens slope delicately in many directions. There are only 46 bunkers on the whole course.

Pebble Beach Golf Course opened in 1919 and was designed by Jack Neville. The course was built on the land where Chinese fisherman used to fish. The course is tucked onto cliffs towering above Carmel Bay. Almost all of the holes are situated on craggy rocks overlooking the surf. The course was just purchased by a Japanese firm for $1 billion. Once you get to know the course, you will surely love it.
