Warning System


The warning system is one of the most important things on the truck. The warning system consist of light, sirens, and special equipment. The lightbars go one the top of the emergency vehicle and flashes crazily and is very noticeable. The little green light in the center of the picture is a opticom system it can change red light to green light when they are going to the scene for faster response time. The law states that all state bought ambulances should have a flashing light in every corner. The siren is also a very important unit to the warning system. It is what warns people to pull over or to get out of the way there is an emergency vehicle coming. The siren is mounted in the grill, roof, or in the lightbar.
Jacket, pants, and helmet



The jacket is very important because this protects the fire fighter from the extreme heat and debris. The jacket also protects the fire fighters from the cold and ice in the winter time. The jackets are very expensive they cost can $500 and are only used for a month. The pants are the same way the are very expensive and are used for a short period of time. The pants protect the fire fighter's lower extremities. The helmet is the most important it protects the fire fighter's head from any type of debris and it keeps the fire fighter from getting burn or wet.
