This is a picture of Yo Yo Ma.  Mr. Ma is probably the most recognized and famous cellists in the world.  He is a native of China.  The cello that he plays is worth over $1,000,000.  He travels all over the world to perform with many symphonies who invite him to perform with them.  He is currently playing a concert called "The Silk Road".  It consists of Chinese Folk Songs.  This concert raises money for The Silk Road Project. 
   Pablo Casals (1876-1973) was born in 1876 in Vendrell.  He is best know for performing the 6 Bach Cello Suites for Unaccompanied Cello.  Pablo Casals started the first musical festival in Prades to commerate Bach.  This music festival still takes place annually.
