Siberian Huskies make great pets, but they also are used for sled racing. In this sport about 12 dogs are harnessed to a sled and are raced across snow and ice. They are good for this sport because they can stay warm in the harsh cold weather.

Another sporting dog is the greyhound. It is used for racing. Many greyhound dogs are put on a race track and they run as fast as they can and people bet on who they think will win. Greyhounds are good for this sport because they have a strong slender body witch makes it easer for then to run fast.
