This is when the men in the crows nest finally saw the ice burg. They imedeitly call the bridge. IT WAS TO LATE!

Shortly after 11:30 P.M. the ship first officer ordered the engines put in reverse and the ship turned as far as it can go.  It was way to late.  As it hit the iceberg popping the steel rivets holding the plates together letting water pour in.

One hour after the collision.  The captain ordered to have distress rockets fired off.  He saw another ship in the distance.  That ship never responded.  By this time the bow was sinking.

This pic. shows the front of the ship gone.  People now are trying to get to the lifeboats that have already left.
This pic. shows that there were not enough lifeboats.  There were only enough for 2,200 people.  That is the reason so many people died.

This is the Titanic with the front gone.  Some scientists say the Titanic could have never came out of the water this high.  The stress would have snapped it at 12% high.
This is the pic. of the Titanic snapping.  The stress of the giant stern pulled down from the weight and snapped.  As it fell back down it squashed and killed people.

This is the Carpathia. Hours after the disaster this ship came and rescued all of the survivors of the Titanic.
