This is Dave Himself.  He is one of the best guitarist that are still playing music.      Dave Was Born in Johannesburgh, South Africa.  Dave's family moves several times and finally in 1986 ended up in Charlottesville, VA, which was where his parents lived before he was born.  He got the idea to start the band when he started playing the guitar at age nine.
The drummer, Carter Beuford.  Carter started his music career at three years old.  His dad would take him for lesson with the legendary drummer Buddy Rich.  Carter met Dave and Leroi in Charlotesville, VA, and like the music that the both played.  So before long they were in the studio recording.
	Stefan Lessard is the bass guitarist.  Stefan is the youngest of DMB.  Dave took him into the band when he was just 16, so he had to get out of school.  He has fun with the band, but for a while he couldn't do anything with them because he was to young for the clubs they would go to.
Boyd Tinsley is the bands acoustic and electric violin player. He is the one you might have seen in the Twix commercials.  Boyd was the last member to join the band. He played a demo song, Tripping Billies, in 1991 and later that year joined the band full-time.  He first wanted to play the guitar.  He signed up for a middle school strings class thinking he would play the guitar, but later he found out that the class was for orchestral instruments.  Later he fell in love with the violin.
	Leroi Moore plays the Alto, soprano, tenor, and baritone saxophone, flute, and whistles.  He played in many gigs before the band.  The rest of the band was at one of his gigs one night and really enjoyed his music.  So they decided to ask him to join the band.  Leroi excepted the offer and its a good thing he did because I'm sure he would regret it.
