Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in 1971 in the Bronx. He moved to
Baltimore to attend it's high school for Performing Arts, where he began
writing rap. He was a member of the Grammy nominated group Digital
Underground. He was also nominated for an American Music Award as best new
rap/hip hop artist. Then he went from Digital Underground to Death Row
Records. On September 7th he was shot 5 times in Las Vegas, and on
September 13th he was pronounced dead at 4:03 P.M. He was 25 years old
when he died.
