| Richard Starkey
was born on July 7th in 1940. His parents Elsie and Richard were split
up. Ringo only saw his father a few times. While he was a
child he had appendicitics. He went to the hospital, and was in a
coma for ten weeks. After, he got out of the coma his mother
remarried to a man named Harry Graves. In the same year he became
sick again and again went to the hospital. He had a very rough child
hood. The first band he joined was called Rory Storms and the
Hurricanes. He was the only member of The Beatles that really didn't
want to be one. He joined the band stricty for money purposes.
He had a choice between two bands and he selected The Beatles because they
were paying him more. The whole time he was in The Beatles he never
really was interested in being in the spot light, and just stuck to the
drums. In the year 1965 Ringo married a woman named Maureen Cox.
They then
had two children Zak and Jason. The Beatles split up in 1970.
Ringo Starr made a few albums after The Beatles, but none of them were a
sucess. Ringo Starr is still alive today. |
