Winston Lennon was born on Oct. 9th in 1940. He was born in
Liver pool England. He grew up with his Aunt Mimi. He first started to
play the guitar at the age of 17. He was in a band named "The
Quary Men", and Paul McCartney was in it. The members of the
band were Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Pete Best. His band and him played at clubs sometimes. They
would most of the time play songs of other people and other bands
would be there playing the same thing. They knew if they wanted to
keep going they had to write music. So, John and Paul started
writing their own music. The band
soon transformed into The Beatles. Later, the band said they needed a new
drummer and Pete was kicked out the night before they recorded their first
album, and they hired Ringo Starr. They were a very big sucess.
John soon Married a woman named Cynthia. Together, they had a child
named Julian. John and Cynthia wern't working out, and they got
divorced. Paul McCartney wrote the song "Hey Jude" to
Julian. Cynthia and John got divorced, and Yoko and John got married
in 1969. They had a crazy experience of getting married. After,
they were married John wrote the song "The Ballad of John and
Yoko". The song was about their expeirence of getting
married. The next year The Beatles broke up. John and the rest
of the band was fighitng over omney and didn't stay in contact. They
were not friends. John no longer
had a writing partner, and Yoko took the place of Paul McCartney. John and Yoko had a son named Sean.
John and Yoko kept writing together and came out with some of their own
songs. John and Yoko were getting separated. They were
convinced that they shouldn't by Paul and Linda McCartney. After,
that John and Paul stayed in contact. John never lived long enough to see Sean grow
up. John Lennon died Dec. 8th 1980. He was killed by one of
the former Beatles fans, Mark Chapman, who got an autograph of John
just a little bit before he shot him. He was shot in front of the
Dakota in New
York. Many people were devastated along with Paul McCartney, Yoko,
and all of John's fans. He would forever live in their
hearts.
