Ilya Kovalchuk is one of the best
young stars in the game today. He is the fastest player on the
Atlanta Thrashers. He scored his first NHL goal this year in only
his second game. Overcoming injuries, Ilya is the top candidate
for rookie of the year. He was dominant as a rookie this year finishing
first in goals (29), second in points (51), and fourth in assists (22)
among all rookies.

| A future star left winger is Sean
Haggerty. He styles his play off of star left winger Jeremy Roenick.
He has blazing speed so he can break out in the open. He starred at
the 1995 Junior Championships with Team USA. He was the third
leading scorer on the team with 1 goal and 6 assists in only 7
games. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1994 but still
hasn't played much with the team.

Patrick Elias started his young
career out in 1998 with the New Jersey Devils. He produced 17 goals
in his rookie season. Since then he has only gotten better.
Last season he led his team in scoring with 96 points and was tied for the
league lead in plus\minus with a +45. This year he had 29 goals, 32
assists, and finished as a +4. This season Elias fought off some
minor injuries that held him back a little.

| Dan Blackburn is the backup goalie
for the New York Rangers. He backs up One of the best goalies in the
league, Mike Richter. He posted a 12-16 record over 28 games.
When he got his chance to play he really shined. In a game against
the Philadelphia Flyers he made 43 saves on 45 shots. He had some
pretty good numbers this past year. He had a 3.28 Goals Against
Average and a .898 Save Percentage. Although Dan wasn't a starter
this year he will be in the years to come.

The New York
Islanders best right winger is Mark Parrish. He is in his third year
in the NHL. He spent two years with the Florida Panthers and this
year he was traded to the Islanders. He finished the year with
outstanding stats. He had 30 goals and 30 assists and finished as a
+10. His team als made it to the playoffs.
