The Armed Forces have been an important part of American history. They are the ones who liberated us from Great Britain all those years ago. They have quarreled with Great Britain, Spain, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Italy, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. They also fought a cold war against Russia and several small countries turning communist indirectly. They have defended us in The American Revolution, The War of 1812, The Spanish-American War, The Mexican War, World War I, World War II, The Vietnam War, The Korean War, and Desert Storm and the war on terrorism.
