

| Akumal Bay Beach has beautiful sugar white sands and scuba center complete with diving, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and wind surfing gear. This beach is full of fun things to do. There is two restaurants, a pizzeria and ice-cream shop right along the beach. There is also a few boutiques and native good stores. |

Half Moon Beach |
Half Moon Beach is a great place to hang out. This beach is a great place to go snorkeling, the waters are full of corals and colorful tropical fish. On the other side of the beach is a coral reef. If you are a strong swimmer you can swim to the other side and go snorkeling, but be careful this is not for beginner swimmers. |
| Yal-Ku Lagoon is past Half Moon Beach. This is a calm
clear environment for a beginning snorkeler. These waters as well as
many others are full of tropical fish and has beautiful coral formations
near it's mouth. The water is a mixture of fresh and salt water and
after a day in the sun is a great place to go. Unfortunately you are
not permitted to wear sunscreen in these waters. They are trying to
preserve the beach.

South Akumal Beach has gorgeous white sands and a double barrier reef just 100 yards off shore. The reef keeps the waters calm and clear for terrific snorkeling and swimming, and of coarse has a variety of colorful tropical fish. This beach is really for somebody who wants a lot of privacy. Thee are 20 luxury private homes on the bay, no restaurants or shops, just peace and quiet. |
