Alexei Kovalev Alexei Kovalev is one of my favorite players to watch in the NHL. His great ability to wrist shot beats almost every goalie. Kovalev was traded to the Penguins in the 1998-99 season, but didn't show all of his talent. The next full season with the Penguins, he scored 46 points in 63 games. In the 2000-01 season, Kovalev scored his career best 96 points in 79 games. |

Johan Hedburg Johan Hedburg is a big contributor to the Pittsburgh Penguins. His breakthrough year in 2000-01 helped the Penguins go to the Eastern Conference Finals. When Hedburg came to Pittsburgh, he the nickname "Moose" for his blue moose helmet.

Robert Lang Robert Lang is very important to the Pittsburgh Penguins. He is a great center for the team, and also uses his size and strength to keep the puck away from the defenders. Lang improves every year and in the 2000-01 season, he scored a career high 80 points.
