Star Trek, the Original Series started back in 1966 and ran until 1969. The Show was one of the first to offer an optimistic look at the future and it was able to deal with issues of the current day while portraying them in an interesting fashion. The show was very successful and lead to the creation of 4 others TV series and ten films.

Enterprise This legendary ship was launched in 2245 and served in Starfleet for 40 years. It had three captains including James T. Kirk. It went through many changes including a major refit in 2270. The famous was destroyed at the Genesis planet in 2285 in order to save it from Klingon forces. |

James T. Kirk Rank: Captain Kirk was born in the year 2233. He was raised in Iowa and later decided to join Starfleet. He served aboard many ships before he took command of the Enterprise and became the youngest Captain ever to serve aboard a Starship. Kirk was later promoted to Admiral but then was demoted to Captain after he stole the Enterprise to save Mr. Spock . He was presumed dead after being swept up in an energy ribbon but it is rumored that he was later seen on Viridian III. |

Mr. Spock Rank: Commander Mr. Spock, who is perhaps Star trek's most well known characters was born in 2230. He is half-human, half-Vulcan and has chosen to live working in Starfleet. Mr. Spock was killed on the Genesis Planet but then was brought back to life after Captain Kirk commandeered the Enterprise and reunited Mr. Spock's body and mind on the Planet of Vulcan. He now continues to work to reunite the Vulcan and Romulan people. |

Leonard M. Mcoy Rank: Doctor/ Commander Doctor Mcoy is the disgruntled Doctor aboard the Enterprise. He and Commander Spock constantly have arguments over logic and emotion and which view is superior. The good doctor, while constantly complaining about his job on the ship, is a vital member to the Enterprise crew as he has saved the ship many times and even brought Mr. Spock back to life once. Doctor Mcoy, after the Enterprise was decommissioned, went on to serve as an Admiral in Starfleet and is still alive as the oldest human ever. |
