James used to be a loving, devoting husband.  Around 3 years ago his wife, Mary died of a incurable disease.  About 6 months before she died, James and her went to a vacation spot in a place known as, Silent Hill.  He promised to take her there but he never could, before she died.  Then 3 years after her death a letter arrives, and strangely enough it is in her hand writing.

He goes on a quest to find meaning.  Is Mary really waiting for him. he hopped in his Dodge sedan and started a journey that would give him nightmares forever.

Mary was a peaceful generous women. Three years ago she died of a disease that the doctors couldn't cure.  She died and suffered great on her last weeks on earth.  Her husband James took the whole incident hard.  He couldn't bear watching his loved one die.

In his search he stumbles across women in the Silent Hill Rosewater Park.  Shockingly she bears a almost exact likeness to Mary, James's late wife.  The only differences are a few behavioral actions.   Sometimes during it she will begin to act weird and talk as if she was Mary, although she had never met her.  She is on a type of drug and has a horrible cough.  What does she have to do with Silent Hill and Mary?  

She is the first human James meets.  She is in Silent Hill and claims to be looking for her mother.  She is confused many times and confuses James quite a lot with her parents.  As the search progresses she get weird and suicidal.  She has a mental problem and needs help.
