Little did Mick Jagger, the vocals for the Rolling Stones, know that the Muddy Waters song, "Rollin Stone", would make one of the longest running rock' n roll bands ever. For many decades, the Rolling Stones have made many hit songs, like "Satisfaction [I Can't Get No]". When Mick Jagger was a boy, he and band mate Keith Richards were pals. Their friendship was ruined when Richards moved away from London, but they reunited on a train ride. While Jagger was schooled at the London School of Economics, he formed a band with Richards called Little Boy Blue and The Blue Boys, consisting of Jagger, Richards, and Brian Jones. The trio became friends, roommates, and musical collaborators. The band also joined bassist Dick Taylor, drummer Mick Ivory, and keyboardist Ian Stewart, on B.B.C. programming. They broke up and joined with drummer Charlie Watts and bassist Bill Wyman, to form The Rolling Stones. Their manager said, "They will exploit the opposite of the Beatles". They cut their first album in May of 1963. Aftermath, the next album, was released in April of 1966. They staged a free Concert on 12/6/1969, after Woodstock. The Seventies yielded the albums, Sticky Fingers, Goats Head, It's Only Rock' N Roll, and Black and Blue. In the Eighties, the bands best album, Tattoo You, was at #1 on the charts for nine weeks. In the Ninteys, the band took a rest and continued touring. Their last tour was announced on May 10, 2002, from a blimp with their trademark, a mouth, on it.
