| This page is all about KISS, a band from New York that can make you "rock n' roll all night and party everyday". The first four members of the band were Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehely. The band started playing in clubs, like many others, in the late 60's and early 70's. They got their break in 1973, when Jive Records produced their first CD, titled "KISS". The CD went platinum is less than one week. KISS then got a contract with Jive for at least a few more years. They kept on producing CDs together. Then, their drummer, Peter Criss, decided that enough was enough. He and second guitarist, Ace Frehley, left the band, letting Eric Carr and Bruce Kuluck in. The original four each made a solo album. Ace Frehely's album sold the most of all of them. Then, the worst thing happened. In 1988, Eric Carr died of a brain tumor. That put Eric Singer in as drummer. The band then went into a slump. Not many of their CDs sold. Then, in 1996, the original four came back and stayed together, until their last concert in Detroit, Michigan, in 2000. They have done other appearances, like in the Olympics this year. They will always be one of the greatest bands ever. | ![]() |
