Kennywood was built in 1899 by the Kenny family. Kennywood got it's name by a man named Andrew Mellon. There are 31 major rides at  Kennywood. There are 35 various games throughout the park, as well as 4 gift shops and 4 arcades. There is also 18 different refreshment stands. There used to be a bunch of steel factories where Kennywood sits. They tore them all down a long time ago. Then there was plain land, until Kennywood was built. Kennywood never had roller coasters until 1902. That is when they were made. The Jack Rabbit is the oldest surviving roller coaster there is in the park. Kennywood opens at 11:00 on bright, sunny mornings. Though you may not believe it, many people have died at Kennywood. But there is no need to worry, because since they have new rides, they are safer than the old rides. Even the old ones at Kennywood that are still there, like for instance the Jack Rabbit, have had more adjustments to them than before, so you'll be safe on every ride you go on. Kennywood is a very fun and interesting place to go.

Kennywood is located 10 miles from Downtown Pittsburgh on PA 837 Monongahela River. Take the interstate 376 to Swissvale Exit #7 and follow the arrows to Kennywood.

This mans name is Robert F. Henniger. In 1950, he became a vice president and refreshment manager when his father died. His brother, Harry W. Henniger, Sr., succeeded his father as secretary-treasurer of the park.
Here is Robert F. Hennigers brother, Harry W. Henniger, Sr. They both took over their father, Frederick W. Hennigers job when he died.
This is an old picture of a popcorn stand. They don't have these kinds of stands around anymore that only sell popcorn, but they did at Kennywood back in the old days. It's kind of neat if you think about all the different kinds of stuff they used to have at Kennywood that they don't have anymore. That shows you how long Kennywood has been around.
This is an example of some of the parades they have at Kennywood. The only difference is that these parades are very old, and the parades they have at Kennywood now are a lot more new than these ones. This is a Candy Float parade.
This is another parade. This one isn't as old as the one showed before though. This is a Mount Lebanon High School Marching Band. Sometimes, they have stuff like this there also, but I consider it to be like a parade.
