Invasion of Normandy
The invasion of Normandy was planned out by the great general Eisenhower.
There was three beaches that were part of the coast of north France. The
beach was code named Red Dog and they split that up into five different parts of
the beach. The beaches were named Omaha, Utah, Juno, Gold, and Sword. The beaches that the Americans had were the beaches Omaha and
Utah. The Canadians had the beach Juno to attack. The English had
the beaches Gold and Sword to attack but the Americans had it the worst.
The Germans were in a practice drill at the time they were landing so the
germans were ready for the Americans.
