On April 15th, 1775, The "Shot Heard Round the World" was fired at Concord, New Hampshire.  It began the Revolutionary War.  Eventually, the Thirteen Colonies would form the United States of America, after Thomas Jefferson writes the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776.  

The war ends at a famous battle called Yorktown, where the United States Corners the British at Yorktown Harbor, and the French Fleet Flanks them from the sea.
