Markers

Pump Markers

Pump Guns are used today still but for players who want more competion and difficulty.  Though these are only pump guns they are still some of the most accurate on the market and can go upwards in price of one thousand dollars.

Semi-auto markers are the most common markers on the market.  There is a vast range of semi markers ranging in size, shape, and price.  Most semi markers have a ball shoot capacity of any from one paintball a second to ten paintballs a second.  The difference between semi-auto markers and pump markers is when you pull the trigger of a semi marker the sear releases the hammer, which hits the valve, and then the valve opens and shoot the paintball as well as pushing the hammer back for the next shot.  Semi-Auto Markers

Full Auto/ Electronic

Electronic and full auto markers are the high end markers of paintball today. They have shot capabilities of up to twenty shots a second in some cases.  These markers are widely used by pro players and the angel at the left is a common site at pro tournaments.  These markers go upwards in price from two hundred to three thousand dollars.  These guns are highly technical and have computer systems in them.  These guns can be programed by your computer and customized to your exact needs.

 Gas Systems

CO2

A marker  cant be fired if it doesnt have a gas suystem powering it.  The most common and cheap way to provide power to your marker is via a CO2 tank.  CO2 tanks are filled with compressed carbon dioxide.  This is the cheapest way to go for a rookie, but the downside to CO2 is, it is not able to be regulated as well as nitrogen.
Not all markers can run on CO2 due to its difficulty to regulate.  Some higher end markers require nitrogen to run because it is easier to regulate and it is better for the internals of the gun.  Though its better in almost evryway compared to CO2 its costs a lot more.  These tanks cost way more than your average CO2 tank due to the pressure of the nitrogen and the tank itself.  Most nitrogen tanks are fiber wrapped to help protect them and can be found in many shapes and sizes,
