The history of Snowboarding isn't very long. Snowboarding hasn't been around for awhile so the sport is still spending it horizons. The sport has come along way though. It came from skateboarding. The boards were first pointed at the front and were only strapped binding. The boards are now round and have either strapped our click in bindings. Clickers are bindings that have like two bars on the board and your boots have two bars and they click into each other. The sport was not very popular when it first came out. In fact a lot of people thought that it was a joke and a descries to the winter sports, but that didn't stop the sport from growing in the 90's the sports started to become very very popular and by 1997 there was said to be more new snowboarders then skiers. That was a very big deal for the sporty because skiing always the most dominant sport in the winter. Then snowboarding was said to be the next generation thing and that if it kept on growing so much that it would take over the slops. Well that hasn't happened yet because in some resorts they don't let snowboarders go there because they say it is only a ski resort only. Those resorts are obviously not up for change, but when snowboarding was held in the Olympics most of those few resorts dropped there rules on no snowboarders. Snowboarding has come a long way and still has a long horizon to explained through.
