skill.  Here are a few of the NHL's best players.

 

 

 

Mats Sundin

Mats Sundin is number 13 an he the captain for the Toronto Maple leafs.  Mats Sundin was the captain of Sweden's winter Olympic team.  Mats was the leading scorer in the tournament until team Sweden was knocked out by team Belarus in the quarterfinal game.  The score was 4 to 3.  As you can probably tell, Mats is one of the main players sponsored by CCM.   

 

 

 

 

Joe Sakic

Joe Sakic is one of the premier hockey players in the NHL.  He carries the C (captain) for the Colorado Avalanche.  Sakic is a solid two-way player.  Sakic started his career as a Quebec Nordique.  In 1995 the Nordique's moved to Colorado and were named the Avalanche.  The next year the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup.  Also in 1995 Sakic had 120 points with 51 goals and     69 assists.

Mark Recchi

Mark Recchi played for the Pittsburgh Penguins in there 2 Stanley Cup seasons.  In the 1990-1991 season Recchi had 9 game winning goals.  In 1993 Recchi was traded all around the NHL.  He finally found his spot as a Philadelphia Flyer.  He has become a very well respected veteran and has matured  the young Flyers team.  Even as an older player in the NHL he still holds the nickname "Wrecking Ball".
