Accessories for brass instruments are nearly essential.  Mutes change the sound of the instruments, breath enhancers, like the one shown above, increase lung capacity, and oils, greases, and cleansing tools keep your instrument clean.

    To play and instrument, you have to know where to put your mouth.  If you look at an instrument without a mouthpiece, you get very confused very fast.  Mouthpieces have different designs, for different purposes.  For a bright, high sound, you may want a small cup mouthpieces.  the sizes will vary from a 1C to a 7D.  The number seven implies that the cup of the mouthpiece is the smallest (highest playing) for the type (the letter).

    Mutes are used to change the sound of a brass instrument.  This mute here is a cup/hat mute.  If you have ever heard a fuzzy, soft sound from a trumpet, this is probably the mute that was used.  The other types of mutes are, straight, wow-wow, bucket, plunger, bubble, and practice mutes.

    Gig bags and cases are obviously used to cart around your horn.  Cases in my opinion are not as pretty as big bags, and are much more limiting as far as space.  Gig bags don't have as much padding and protection, so they are usually only used by players who trust themselves as far as having butterfingers.

    This product is just like an old roman celebration horn.  It provides a warm-up and tuning on the go.  There are many other products with the same function.  (But then of course, you could just use your mouthpiece.)
