This was a new record that nobody had ever done before. It was the first combined extra-inning no-hitter in Major League Baseball history.

	This is Kris Benson. He is one of the best pitchers that the Pirates have had lately. Kris wears number 34 for the Pirates while throwing and batting right handed. He is 6'4" and was born in Superior, Wisconsin in 1974. Kris made his major league debut on April 9, 1999.
	This is Aramis Ramirez. He plays third base for the Pirates and wears number 16. Aramis bats right and throws right. He made his major league debut on May 26, 1998.

This is Pokey Reese. The Pirates acquired him in the off-season of 2002. Pokey is a 2-time gold glove winner. He bats right and throws right handed.
