Swan Lake is about a
Prince (Prince Siegfried) who is persuaded by his mother to chose a bride.
However he is more interested in a swan who becomes a maiden by moonlight
(Princess Odette). She was put under a spell by the evil Von Rothbart and
the only way to break it is to love and marry someone. When Siegfried's
mother organizes a ball to announce his engagemant,Von
Rothbart disguises his daughter, Odile, as Odette. The prince is then
tricked into marrying Odile instead. After the ball Siegfried then goes
back to the lake and Odette forgives him and they break the spell. This
ballet was written in 1895, and the music was composed by Tchaikovsky. |

| The Nutcracker is about a
young girl named Clara, who recieves a Nutcracker doll from her magical
uncle at Christmas time. at night to her amazement The doll comes to life
and they go on a magical journey Through the land of the snow and the
magical kingdom of the sweets. At the end Clara wakes up and finds that it
was all a dream. Music composed by Tchaikovsky, written in 1892. |

Romeo and Juliet is based on Shakespeare's
play. This tale of two lovers whose families are locked in a terrible
feud. Romeo and his friends gatecrash the Capulet's ball night they swear
their love for each other and get married in secret. But, a fight breaks
out and Romeo's friend is killed by Juliet's cousin, Tybalt. Romeo then
kills Tybalt and is banished from Verona. While Juliet's parents are
pressuring her to marry another man, to prevent the wedding she drinks
poison which will make her appear dead. When Romeo finds her, He is
overwhelmed and poisons himself. When Juliet awakes and finds him she then
stabs herself. Music was composed by Prokofiev, written in
1965. |

| The sleeping Beauty starts out at the
christening of princess Aurora. Fairies are invited to the celebration to
bring gifts for her, accept, one evil fairy was not invited. In revenge,
she declares that on Aurora's sixteenth birthday, she will prick her
finger on a spindle and die. The good fairy lessens this spell by making
it so the Aurora will not die but sleep for hundred years. Then a handsome
prince will kiss her and she will awake and live happily ever after. On
the night of her sixteenth birthday, Aurora finds a women and is
fascinated by the spindle and falls asleep. One hundred years later, a
prince hunting in the forest finds Aurora and kisses her and she awakends.
They live happily ever after. Music is written by Tchaikovsky, written in
