| Soccer is a sport played worldwide.
Surprisingly, it is less popular in the United States compared to many
other countries. However soccer is very popular here in Bethel Park. One
country that soccer is very popular in is England. There are many teams
that play each other. One of the Groups of teams is the MLS. Teams from the U.S.
play teams from countries like China and Brazil. The U.S. Women won the
last world cup. Wherever the game is played the object and rules
are the same.
Soccer is played with eleven players on the field at once. Each player has a position on the field and a certain job to do. The object is to defend your goal from balls going in the back of your net and score on your opponents goal for points. Every player wears shin guards and cleats during a game. Each professional game is ninety minutes. Some professional players are Mia Hamm and Cobi Jones. Check out my links to find out more information. |
