Shin guards

Shin guards are used to protect your shins when the ball is being kicked at you and when people are kicking you. They have a front section which covers the shin and and ankle protectors over the ankles. Shin guards range in size. They make smaller ones for young kids and larger ones for adults.

Cleats

Cleats are the shoes you wear when you play soccer. They are sometimes called spikes. They dig into the ground to give you a better grip. That way you can make better cuts, quicker movements, and change directions easier. They especially help on rainy days when the ground is muddy and slippery. (Screw in cleats are not allowed).

Uniform

Each team wears a different uniform. The uniforms are used to distinguish between the two teams and they make sure you're passing to your teammates. You are usually not allowed to wear two different colored socks when playing in games because many people feel it effects the way you play (since you are pretty much looking down the whole time). It all depends on the referee that is reffing your game. The uniforms you wear are usually the colors of the country or community you are representing.

Soccer Balls

The soccer ball is what you need to play the game. It is what you use to score and what you prevent the other team from possessing. There many things you can do with a soccer ball. You can take a power shot, bend the ball so it curves when you kick it, juggle, pass, and so much more.

Water Bottle

You use a water bottle to hold your water so when you become thirsty it is there to drink. That way you don't become dehydrated. You should drink plenty of water when playing soccer. Always bring a water bottle when practicing or playing in a game of soccer.
