You probably don't know that much about him, so I'm going to tell you.

 Born- April 2, 1961 in Washington D.C.

    Christopher Meloni attended the university of Colorado at boulder, where he first began to study acting.  Then he went to New York to continue studies with Stanford Meisner at the famed neighborhood playhouse. He is married and maintains residence in both Los Angeles and New York City. He starred in the theater first but then moved into television and films. His first television role was Frank Fanelli in "The Fanelli Boys". Next he played Doug Kirkfield in "The boys" which wasn't his best role...  Then he played Mitch on "Misery Loves Company". His career rose a bit when he starred as Reed Sims on "Leaving L.A.". "Law and order: Special Victims Unit" Was a large role for him, where he played a stressed cop. "Law and order: Special Victims Unit" ended in September 2001. His largest and longest Television role is and will always be HBO's "Oz". on OZ he played a prison inmate who was convicted of felony, murder, attempted murder (2 counts), assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, reckless driving, and driving under influence. His sentence was 88 years when he was convicted in 1998 but When he confessed to the murder of his best friend's enemy's son (which he didn't commit, he just confessed to save his friend), his sentence was raised to Life and he was transferred far away from "OZ"

    He first movie was "Clean slate", playing an extra (body guard #2). He then moved on to the movie "Junior" where he played Mr. Lanzarrota, which is another small part. His next film was "Twelve Monkeys" where he got a better role as Lt. Halperin. "Bound" he climbed a few notches on the role sheet, playing Johnie Marzzone. The small hours was a small movie where he played FL.

 

Chris Is now living with his wife wile transferring residences between Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, California.
