History of Blink 182

Kirsten Dunst got to invite two of her friends and her little brother Christian to see what Blink is like before the stage. They all got backstage passes to see the band in concert.

Blink 182, now a worldwide phenomenon, now does not have that much spare time to blow off. Now on their world tour, scarfing bean burritos, farting and rocking out in their concerts they have been going non-stop. |
|
In the past, Blink has gotten many awards and honors. They have won the Blockbuster Music award, the best group video on the MTV Awards '00, and the MTV Europe Award for Best New Act. The band has played on Saturday Night Live and twice on the Tonight Show. They appeared in American Pie and opened the Billboard Music awards. Blink has also been on the cover of Rolling Stone, twice on the Alternative Press, Teen People, Teen, CosmoGirl, and others as well. |

Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is becoming a hybrid for Blink-182. It is taking on the same effect as the wacko 1999's multi platinum Enema of the State with the same punk spirit of Dude Ranch. They have moved on from San Diego since the band became world known, but they still remember their roots. |
In the Teen magazine for their article. They strike a playful pose. |
The band's popularity has increased dramatically since their formation in 1993. Travis has opened his own clothing line as so did the band. The band opened loserkids.com and Travis opened the "Famous Stars and Stripes" line. There is now a biography written by Mark's younger sister Anne called Tales From Under your Mom. Check it out and learn more about the band inside and out.

Blink, founded in 1993 in San Diego, now is one of the most successful pop-punk bands in history. They have come out with six cd's, but two of them were composed of songs from their earlier cd's. They are an original and creative band. At their concert at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Pavilion, on July 17, 2001, which I attended, they would randomly throw things into the crowds and make up their new and comical songs. After the September 11th tragedy, they postponed the making of Stay Together For the Kids video. It is released and now played on music channels worldwide. |
