Hunting began in England in the 18th century. It started to help farmers with their fox problem. Over the years it became a British tradition. The object of the hunt, is to hunt with a pack of hounds, Followed by horses and riders, who chase the fox to the ground. Then it is caught and killed. |

Showjumping Jumping started as a sport in the 18th Century. It started in Europe. It continued in fairs, until international competition began in the early 1900's. By 1912 showjumping was an Olympic sport. In jumping there is a course set up of jumps. The horse and rider must go through the jumps with as little fault as possible. |

Endurance Riding Endurance riding is the fastest growing equestrian sport. This type of riding has a military history. It is played over one to three days, on marked courses. You have to finish in a minimum time with as little penalties as possible, at veterinary checks. You get penalties when an injury is found on your horse by the vet. |

The game is set up on a grass field, 300 yards long with goal posts on each end. The object of the game is to score as many goals as possible by hitting the ball with a mallet. |
