Gary Larson was born on August 14,
1950 in Tacoma, Washington. Gary loved to draw when he was young, but he never
studied art except in the required classes. He never considered being
a cartoonist, his love was in science, which showed up frequently in
" Far Side".

Gary Larson retired from cartooning on January 2, 1995, the panel appeared in more than 1,900 daily and Sunday newspapers worldwide and has been translated into 17 different languages. Gary has published 22 different "Far Side" books including 5 collections. In 1994 Gary completed his first animated film. |
