This link is about the positions in hockey. There are only 6 different positions in hockey , but each position has something different you need to know. I will try to tell you as much as I can about the different positions in hockey and also the ways to play them. I will inform you on the more difficult ones to learn and the easier ones you might want to start at on. The older you get the harder it is to start out and learn the game because the older you are the more fast paced the game is and you won't be a be to keep up. 
  This is a player that plays right wing. Right wing is on the right side of the ice at all times. he has his own lane that he has to stay in. he usually guards the point men when in the defensive zone. He can also help out deep in the defensive zone sometimes.
  This position is the left wing. It is almost the same as right wing except he plays on the left side. This player is usually a lefty but if they want to it can be a righty. Left wing has all of the same duties as the right wing usually. Sometimes he will have to play as a defensemen if your team doesn't have that good of defense. He guards all the players on the left side.
  This is the center position. This is one of the hardest positions to play because you have to skate the most and have a lot of endurance. The center usually has to cover the points if the left wing is in deep. or the center will have to go in deep and help out. Either way the center does a lot of skating. His lane on the ice is EVERYWHERE! he skates wherever the puck is usually.
  This position is a defensemen he has a pretty hard job. H e has to cover anyone who comes ion his zone. He is the one who keeps the shots down and has to protect the goalie. If a player from the other team gets past him and scores. It is not only the goalies fault but it is mostly his. He is usually the one who will get in fights and most defensemen you will see are big and tall
  This is the goalie. He is the most important player on the ice. he stops the puck from going in the net. If there was no goalie the game would not be fun at all. The goalie is a hard position to full fill so if you want to be a goalie it takes a little more work that other positions.
