These are fins.  You use fins at practice. They are supposed to make you feel the water.

Goggles and caps are very important pieces of equipment.  Goggles help you so you can see underwater so you don't run into stuff and you know when to flip.  Caps hold back your hair so you have less resistence to go faster and to make sure it doesn't get in your way.

Paddles are like fins for you handYou use them in practice so you feel like you are going fast. 

                   

Pool Buoys and kickboards are used in practice.  Pool buoys make you not kick so you work your stroke. You use the kickboard so you can't use your arms and can work you kick.
